Two Fugazi tunes in a row. I did this one a little while back, but had a few things to fix before I posted it. And I had to make sure no one in the photo was wearing a Fugazi shirt.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I like the way it sounds, I just wish I could get a hold of the third/best verse of Hypnotize.

I really like this beat a lot. I hope the little beeps are basically in tune.

I didn’t make a picture because I couldn’t find any good pictures of Coldplay. hmm…

This is the first mash up I did, from a few years ago. I just used a sampler, and pitched the samples up and down until they were beatmatched. Not really a very fun method. Ha ha.

I used one of my favorite jungle tunes, “Special Forces” by Photek. I also took a sample from the Missy song and added a little part that kind of sounds like the Photek record that came out after this one, “The Bleeps Tune.”

Eazy does it

July 10, 2007

I made a blog. A couple weeks ago, I read about the guys over at thehoodinternet.com . So I checked it out, and I liked their songs(especially the R Kelly/Broken Social Scene tune). So I thought maybe I should make a site and post the mash ups I’d been doing.

Right now, I have a small handful done, so I’ll be posting a bunch kind of all at once. I’ll put new stuff up when I can. We’ll see how often that is.

I decided to make pictures for a few songs like the ones they have at thehoodinternet. I bet I probably won’t end up doing that for every song, but we’ll see.

I hope you like my logo. It’s made from the Eazy E logo and the Remo drums logo, obviously. I even stole the idea of doctoring the Remo logo to read “emo” from the guys in Braid. I thought it was funny, so I did it too. It was a very easy “emo.” Wacka wacka!

Anyway, here we go. I don’t think mash ups are the greatest thing in the world, but they’re sort of fun to make, and I hope they are fun to listen to also.
